We took a look at the Garmin Forerunner 610 GPS watch a couple of days ago, and it didn’t take too long for the FCC to tear it down. Basically, it is a timepiece that not only helps you stay punctual in all of your appointments, it will also keep track of all your vital statistics, letting you know of your pace, distance, heart rate and calories burned (so that you can make room for another Big Mac). A recent FCC filing did point towards the kind of miniaturization that the Forerunner 610 has gone through, sporting an extremely slim design to go along with its 1″ touchscreen display. As for its rechargeable battery, that is able to last up to eight hours in training mode. It is quite amazing to know that all sorts of technical wizardry can be crammed into something that tips the scales at just 2.5 ounces. Tipped to ship sometime in Q2 this year, you will need to set aside around $350 for the Garmin Forerunner 610. Since it has already been filed at the FCC, it shouldn’t be too long now before you get to have a spanking new timepiece on your wrist.
