Word on the street has it that HP might just be working on new music and movie stores that will target webOS-powered devices, including the soon-to-come HP TouchPad tablet. Known as the HP Music Store and HP Movie Store, this is just leaked information, although you can more or less say that it will be confirmed sometime down the road – and not too soon, either.

The leaked slide did point towards additional information concerning the stores, where there is a cloud-based storage locker which will allow you to store your music online so you can listen to them even when you’re out of the house. Sounds familiar like Amazon’s cloud music storage experience? In some ways, yes, but the HP TouchPad intends to differentiate itself by using an algorithm to detect the kind of songs that you’re most likely to listen to, caching them on your tablet device so that you need not look out for an Internet connection when your ears are itching for some music.
