I admit, I myself have not heard of FAVI Entertainment before, but apparently they are being touted to be “a leading provider of digital projection and visual display products” – will we take their word at it? Today, the company has just announced that they will be shipping an LED-based mini projector that is dubbed as the “$200 Projector”, but what we found strange was the projector was listed at $399 on the product page. Strange, hopefully this will be able to get cleared up in due time. Said to achieve a careful balance of performance and affordability that targets business professionals, educators, gamers and home theater enthusiasts, the unit’s LED-2 technology is capable of lasting up to 20,000 hours (that’s the equivalent of 14 years of lamp life at an average of four hours per day), while being five times brighter compared to a standard LED projector. Supported resolutions include 800 x 600, 720p 1080i and 1080p at a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. We would suggest you skip the integrated speakers as it wouldn’t amount to much for your ears, and what we like most about this is its weight of just 2.75 lbs, which is a snap to tote around without suffering from a sore shoulder.
