Moodagent for webOS

Moodagent has just launched a tablet-dedicated version of its popular playlisting solution, Moodagent 3.0. And instead of making its debut on iOS or Android like a lot of other tablet apps, Moodagent has decided to go with the underdogs this time around – by making it available on webOS first. In case you didn’t know, Moodagent is an interesting app that helps users to create playlists based on their chosen moods.

Moodagent analyzes the songs available on the device and profiles them according to emotion, mood, genre, sub-genre, style, tempo, beat, vocals, instruments and production features. Users then use a mood slider to tell the app how they feel or what sort of music they would like to listen to. Moodagent then generates a playlist based on the profiles of the songs and the mood that the user selects. If a user doesn’t have enough songs of a certain mood, the app can even recommend music for them to purchase. Playlists can be saved and replayed for future use.

The tablet based version of the app has been designed specifically for webOS and takes full advantage of the HP TouchPad and webOS’ capabilities. Moodagent 3.0 is available on the HP webOS App Catalog and in the app stores of other operating systems for smartphones.
