Netgear has rolled out their Universal Dual Band Wireless Internet Adapter for TV & Blu-ray player, otherwise known as the WNCE3001, where it will be able to hook up any Ethernet-enabled smart TV or Blu-ray player to a home wireless network, whereas the dual band Wi-Fi chipset delivers optimal performance for video streaming. After all, the majority of TVs and Blu-ray players these days come with an Ethernet port which will let you connect to the Internet, but they happen to lack integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and are not in the similar room as that of the home router.

With Netgear’s Universal Dual Band Wireless Adapter, you will be able to take advantage of the 5GHz Wi-Fi band which has proved to be the popular choice for demanding tasks including HD video streaming. You will need to plug the adapter into a TV or Blu-ray player via an Ethernet cable, in order to make it compatible with any device which sports an Ethernet port.

As for the compact adapter, it can be placed on the included stand or even mounted on a wall. Since it also plays nice with the 2.4GHz band, this is one future-proof device. The Netgear Universal Dual Band Wireless Internet Adapter for TV & Blu-ray can be yours for $89.99 when it arrives later next month. [Press Release]
