Belkin knows that you treasure your spanking new tablet that you just purchased online or at a brick-and-mortar store – apart from populating the tablet with all of your favorite apps and games, there is something else that most people would do – which is, to purchase the right kind of accessories for it, with a screen protector as well as a protective case. Belkin intends to coax you into purchasing their two new offerings – the Snap Shield Secure and the Emerge 024 that will retail for $39.99 each.
The Snap Shield Secure comes in a thin, translucent case which will snap to the back of the iPad 2 (hence the name) for streamlined protection as you can see above, without cordoning off the iPad 2’s design elements. There is also an integrated steel strip that holds the Smart Cover flat against the case whenever it remains open. Touted to feature soft-touch material that feels great in-hand, it also doubles up as added protection against daily wear and tear without adding bulk.
As for the Emerge 024, it boasts of a unique design which has a perforated pattern and comes with colored inserts so that you will be able to mix and match with your Smart Cover. I’d go for the former, really, as it provides a far more solid feel to the whole thing. What about you? [Press Release]
