The Smart Cover for the iPad 2 is a rather ingenious creation. If you can ignore the fact that it fails to protect the back of your iPad 2 from scratches, it does a pretty good job at protecting the screen (which is probably more important) of your iPad 2, doubling up as a stand and all of this while remaining fairly thin and unobstructive. But have you ever wondered what it would be like on an iPhone?

Tobi, a designer who goes by the handle tob!s, has come up with an iPhone 5 concept that not only takes into account the various design rumors, but also manages to integrate a Smart Cover for the iPhone 5. Based on the design, Tobi has created an iPhone 5 that is more rectangular in design, a design which seems inspired from a previous iPhone 5 case that we reported a while back.

The design has also incorporated the rumored edge-to-edge display along with an elongated home button, which based on the rumors is capacitive and will act as a secondary control. So what do you guys think? Is this iPhone 5 concept plausible, and would a Smart Cover for the iPhone be something you may be interested in?
