TwitterTwitter has just announced new versions of its mobile app for both the iPhone and Android devices. The apps bring back some high-demand features that used to be present in the app, as well as some new design and functionality improvements. Both versions of the app now features a swipe shortcut which lets users reply, retweet, favorite or share tweets without having to leave the timeline, and a confirmation alert for “find friends”.

Twitter for iPhone gets copy and paste again, the option to copy links from tweets, an updated design for Direct Messages and font size settings. Twitter for Android has been optimized to run on devices with Ice Cream Sandwich, the Kindle Fire, Barnes & Noble NOOK Color and NOOK Tablet. Head over to the Apple App Store or Android Market to download the latest versions of Twitter today.
