Samsung’s cross-platform messaging service known as ChatON has been made available to those who use a BlackBerry, although it must be said that ChatON functions only on the BlackBerry Torch 9800 at the moment. Good news though – support for additional BlackBerry devices will be happening soon, where you will be able to download them from the following link. Basically, what does ChatON for the BlackBerry deliver? It enables BlackBerry users to carry out a 1:1 conversation, and hold a group chat if they want to, throwing in attachment and emoticons support as and when required with other ChatON users, never mind the device that they use to keep in touch in the first place. At the moment, Samsung’s ChatON service will work on the Android, iOS, bada and Web platforms. The South Korean conglomerate also has plans to roll out ChatON for Windows Phone in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
