Windows 8It looks like Amazon might have a new competitor on the eReader front. According to reports online, we might be seeing Microsoft Windows 8 on devices such as eReaders. It looks like Microsoft isn’t content to just having its operating system on tablets and computers – Kevin turner, Microsoft’s COO mentioned that they want to see it loaded onto anything they can get their hands on. This means there’s a chance we’ll be seeing Windows 8 on devices like TVs in the future.

While there aren’t any specific details concerning the devices, we can be pretty sure that Windows 8 will be popping up in places that we already see Windows being used in – ATM machines, signage, cash registers and so on. It’s just going to be a matter of whether manufacturers choose to upgrade their devices to the upcoming version of Windows.
