You’ve just spent a couple of hundred on your brand new iPhone, instead of plonking down more money on plastic that may or may not be recyclable, how about taking a look at Case-Mate’s new series of iPhone cases made from recyclable plastic? According to the company, these cases are made from 100% recycled post-consumer PET bottles (i.e. the plastic from soda and water bottles) and according to them, one recycled bottle equals to one iPhone case. Pretty cool huh? Kind of changes the way you look at soda bottles from now on! According to the company:

“As part of our greater effort to encourage more sustainable practices, we’ve introduced a line of fashionable, functional and environmentally responsible cases,” said Shashi Reddy, Case-Mate’s Chief Executive Officer. “By creating Case-Mate products using recycled materials, we’re helping millennials stay stylish and environmentally conscious.”

The cases will come in a variety of different colors – pink, orange, green, blue, black and white and will cost $30 each. Apart from the fact that it’s made from recycled plastic, there’s really nothing unique about this case. However if you’d like to make a difference by going green, then this could be a solid $30 investment. Head on over to Case-Mate’s website to pick up one for yourself.
