Blackberry users, if you’re fond of checking into the various locations that you go via foursquare, you will be pleased to learn that the app has recently received an update that will allow users to utilize the NFC feature found in some Blackberry handsets. The app will now allow users to check into locations that feature NFC stickers. All users will have to do is tap their Blackberry devices against the stickers to check in which could yield certain benefits or discounts, depending on the location and assuming that they have a promotion going on. On top of that, users will also be able to share places and tips with friends using NFC as long as the other device supports it too. This feature is expected to extend beyond just Blackberry devices and is reportedly compatible with Android handsets with NFC technology as well. For more information on the update, head on over to foursquare’s website or pop on over to the Blackberry App World for the download.
