The South Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung has been actively involved in making sure that their brand name gains worldwide recognition for some years already, having sponsored and partnered with some high profile events. The Olympic Games definitely ranks right up there with the most prolific, and most folks should know by now that the Olympic Games 2012 that is happening in London later this summer will see Samsung as one of the many official partners, which goes without saying that Samsung wants to make full use of the situation by announcing that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the official phone for the Olympics this year – while releasing a Samsung Galaxy Note Olympic Edition to the masses as well. The back of the Galaxy Note for this particular model has been changed to reflect the spirit of the Olympic Games, and it is certainly different from the stock version. I do not think that this will end up as a collector’s item though.
