If you’re looking for a new 27” monitor, you might want to consider Samsung’s Series 9 LED monitor which has recently been made available for purchase. Making its appearance at CES earlier this year, we have to admit that the monitor looks pretty good, which we guess is expected from Samsung. Featuring a 27” display with a resolution of 2560×1440, the LED display comes equipped with HDMI, DVI and twin USB ports along with MHL connectivity support that lets the display link up with various portable devices. Originally scheduled for a March release, we guess it got delayed but better late than never, right?

The display will be available on Friday and is currently up for pre-order via Newegg. While it does look good in terms of its design and comes with a variety of connectivity options, its price tag of $1,199 might put some off, especially given that Apple has a similar display with the same resolution going for $999 in form of the Thunderbolt and Cinema displays, but if Samsung’s design won you over then maybe the extra $200 might be justifiable.
