The latest headset from Mad Catz comes in the form of the Tritton 720+ 7.1 Surround Headset, where it will continue from where the Tritton AX 720 left off. Playing nice with the Xbox 360 console as well as the PS3 console from Sony, the Mad Catz Tritton 720+ 7.1 Surround Headset is tipped for a September 2012 release date, which means you only have one month, tops, left to wait assuming you are in the market scouring for a new gaming headset after wearing out your previous one.

Just what does the Tritton 720+ deliver that would entice you to part with your hard earned money, apart from having something new and shiny in your hands? Some of the key enhancements to deliver superior performance and sustained comfort include all new Neodymium drivers that gulped some growth hormones, increasing in size from 40mm to 50mm so that you can experience improved bass response and audio clarity. Apart from that, there is the latest Dolby Headphone technology so that your ears will dance to rich 7.1 Surround Sound, making it perfect to locate where your enemy is in a FPS, or maximize your enjoyment of a movie blockbuster.

Other features include Selectable Voice Monitoring (SVM) so that you can hear your own voice through the headset, and your ears will not “burn” after extended hours of gaming thanks to a lightweight and flexible design.
