Now this is rather interesting – a device which is not a native of the Android ecosystem has been spotted to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, putting to shame some of the more established names in the Android world that has seen their fair share of smartphones yet to receive an operating system update until not. The NITDroid project is successful enough to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean up and running on old faithful, the Nokia N9. No idea on a more formal release, but chances are additional information as well as a more stable Jelly Bean release will be introduced for the Nokia N9 in due time. Watch the video above and be amazed, or at least, have your curiosity piqued enough to query the hardware manufacturers and carriers of your far superior (in terms of hardware) Android-powered smartphone what is taking them so long to deliver the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in your direction.
