Personally I do most of my movie watching on my computer since my monitor is decently sized, plus having a projector setup is a little out of my budget. However if you have the money to spare and you’re looking to build a home theatre setup, you might be interested to learn that LG has a new projector dubbed the HECTO Laser TV which will have the ability to project images or movies up to 100” wide, meaning you’re going to need a much larger room if you’re hoping to install this bad boy in your house.

Not being content with being a mere projector with a 100” projection, the HECTO will come with a special screen and an external Ultra Short Throw (UST) projection unit (fixed at 22″). The device will also feature 1080p Full HD resolution and 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, along with dual 10W speakers which will be convenient for those who are trying to cut costs on speakers, or who are looking for a temporary fix while they are still selecting their perfect pair of speakers. Other features include a trio of HDMI ports, audio out, an RS-232 interface and will also feature Smart TV functionality with support from LG’s new Magic Remote. LG will be demonstrating the HECTO at CES 2013 taking place next month, so be sure to check back with us then for the details. [Press release]
