We have just come out with a mammoth review of the Samsung Galaxy S4, but here is a rumor going around that there could very well be a new and rugged Samsung Galaxy device, which would so happen to take on the guise of the upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S4, sporting waterproof and dustproof capabilities. It would be interesting to see just how the rugged version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will fare when it finally hits the market (assuming this rumor is true in the first place) compared to other rugged smartphones that are currently available, just like the Sony Xperia Z.

To date, we have yet to see a true blue rugged smartphone from the likes of Samsung, but assuming this rumor is true, things could very well change for the better if you love such devices. Just how was this particular rumor birthed? Apparently, Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung’s operation in the Gulf, mentioned the possibility of such a device at a recent press event, although it could very well be a mix-up due to translation and other confusion. Hence, do take this rumor with a grain of salt – and a rather large one, too.
