swiftkey-4.1-android

There’s certainly no shortage of virtual keyboards for Android devices, but SwiftKey has proven to hold its own ground in this particular niche. SwiftKey 3 actually became the top paid app on Google Play last year. Today version 4.1 of this keyboard has been released. This update brings three new themes, Pitch (black), Dusk (navy-blue) and Regal (purple). That’s not all, the price of SwiftKey 4.1 for Android tablets and smartphones has been slashed by 50%, making it available for purchase just for $1.99.

This update isn’t limited to new themes. It brings various tweaks as well, which include much more smooth operation with Opera apps and Facebook. The .com shortcut key for Chrome Android app has also been taken care of. Fixes for various key related issues are also on-board. The app was known to crash when rotating screen in Settings, that bug too has been fixed. Swiftkey 4.1 for Android is now available for download through Google Play Store. There’s the option of downloading a free trial version before making the purchase. The promotional 50% off price might be discontinued at any time, as they’ve not mentioned for how long this promotional price will remain in effect.
