Ff6-logoSquare Enix has been pretty busy releasing Final Fantasy titles for both iOS and Android devices, and if you’re planning on playing (or replaying) some Final Fantasy titles on your mobile device, you might be interested to learn that Final Fantasy VI will be making its way onto iOS and Android this winter. As expected of other Final Fantasy releases on mobile, Final Fantasy VI will see enhanced graphics while keeping to the overall theme of the game, which is to say that gamers can look forward to a 2D, 16-bit game like back in the day, which for some would be pretty nostalgic.

The game will be released in winter although no specific dates were mentioned. Pricing was not mentioned either but given that Square Enix’s previous Final Fantasy releases were considered pretty pricey, at least by mobile game standards, we wouldn’t be surprised if Final Fantasy VI was priced similarly as well. With Final Fantasy VII next in line, we’re sure many gamers were wondering about its possible release as well. According to Square Enix’s director, Takashi Tokita, he told the folks at Kotaku that Final Fantasy VII for mobile is a possibility, but nothing has been set in stone yet.
