apple-ipad-air-2So now that the dust has settled from all of the announcements made by Apple concerning their new free software as well as a couple of new iPads, it is time for mobile service providers to step forward and start offering the new wares with their respective data plans, too. Sprint is one of them, having announced that it will offer the iPad Air with Wi-Fi and Cellular on Friday, November 1st. Apart from that, the smaller iPad mini with Retina display too will be on offer later in the month, featuring both Wi-Fi and Cellular models to boot. According to Sprint, the tablet plans will be as low as $5 a month.

It does not matter if you are taking the full-sized iPad Air or the smaller iPad mini with Retina display, as both of them will run on a 64-bit A7 processor. There will be no Touch ID fingerprint scanner that is found on the iPhone 5s, so I would go out on a limb here and say that this could be because they are reserving it for a new iPad refresh sometime next year. The Wi-Fi and Cellular variant of the iPad Air from Sprint will retail for $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB, $829 for 64GB, and $929 for 128GB.

Those who want the iPad mini with Retina display with Wi-Fi and Cellular will have to fork out $529, $629, $729 and $829 for the 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models, respectively. [Press Release]
