gta-5-patchGTA 5 for the PC, where have we heard that before? It has been long rumored and suggested that GTA 5 for the PC would be an eventuality, despite Rockstar claiming that they had nothing to share with regards to that, but given that previous GTA titles made their way onto the PC, it would make sense for Rockstar to eventually release GTA 5 on the PC as well. In fact it was just recently that Amazon listed the game on its website, although we’re not sure if this is because Amazon bought into the hype and rumors, or if they might know something we don’t. Looking to fuel the speculation is a report from Gamereactor Sweden who claims that Nordic retailer, Elgiganten, is expected to begin taking pre-orders for the game starting on the 31st of January 2014, this coming Friday.

The claim was apparently made by one of the managers at the store who chose to remain anonymous. Now it is possible that retailers are often informed ahead of time when they can start accepting pre-orders. After all publishers need to inform them if they wish for retailers to have enough copies of the game at launch, so it is possible that Elgiganten and other retailers such as Amazon could have been informed in advanced. Alternatively retailers can sometimes get ahead of themselves by preparing pages for games that have yet to be announced just to get ahead of the competition, but take it with a grain of salt for now as we won’t have to wait too long to find out if the rumors are true.
