It has roughly been five months since Apple launched two new tablets, the iPad Air and the Retina iPad mini. Both tablets have had a pretty good run after their release, CEO Tim Cook predicted that it would be an “iPad Christmas,” and it was indeed. Apart from selling brand new units, Apple also sells refurbished products through its online store. Customers waiting for the refurbished iPad Air models are now in luck, the online store has finally begun carrying them.

Customers can take advantage of reduced prices, Apple marks the price down by as much as 15 percent compared to the product’s original sticker price. Currently nine different refurbished iPad Air models are available from the online Apple store. The cheapest model available is the 32GB Wi-Fi only iPad Air, which comes with a $509 price tag.

Cellular models are available as well. A 16GB 4G capable refurbished iPad Air is being offered for $529. All models are certified refurbished by Apple. The company also provides free shiping as well as a 1 year warranty with these models. Refurbished doesn’t mean worn out. Apple kits the iPads with a new battery and outer shell, and thoroughly tests them for reliability before listing them on the online Apple store.
