Back in 2013, Blizzard announced Hearthstone which was basically Blizzard’s take on a collectible card game, except in digital form, and to top things off, the game is free-to-play, so if gamers wanted to buy additional cards or booster packs, they’d have to fork out real-life money instead.

Now the good news is that Blizzard has officially launched the game for the iPad, following its soft launch earlier this month.  The app itself weighs around 500MB in size so you might want to be connected to the WiFi if you want to download it. The app itself is free, like we mentioned, but in-app purchases can range anywhere between $1.99 up to $49.99.

Blizzard has been known for making good games and based on reviews of Hearthstone, it seems to be relatively well-received at this point in time. However we’re sure that there are gamers out there who would rather not fork out money to pay for digital cards when that money could be spent on real cards, like Magic: The Gathering and so on, but to each their own.

In any case if you wanted to check out the game, just head on over to the iTunes App Store for the download, or for more details, check out the video above or pop on over to the official Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft website for the details.
