10806-3216-141016-iPhoto-lApple had announced yesterday that they would be releasing OS X 10.10 Yosemite and as it stands, it is currently available via the Mac App Store for those who wish to install the operating system. However it seems that together with the release of the latest build of OS X, Apple has also issued an update for their iLife suite.

The iLife suite, for those unfamiliar, consists of apps such as iMovie, iPhoto, and GarageBand. With the update to iLife, Apple has introduced new designs to the apps, new features, as well as official support for OS X 10.10 Yosemite. GarageBand will be updated to 10.0.3 and will introduce a slightly tweaked user interface.

The app will gain access to audio effect plug-ins and new voice templates, a virtual Bass Amp Designer, and will also gain access to Yosemite’s iCloud support which allows users to share projects via Mail Drop. iMovie has also been updated to 10.0.6 with a new look, new file export options, and also the allowing of HD clips to be sent over email via the iCloud Mail Drop feature.

iPhoto has also been given an update, although compared to the other two it isn’t as big. The update basically adds Yosemite support and stability improvements and will be bumped to version 9.6. All updated apps are available via the Mac App Store.
