Just yesterday we reported that OnePlus and JBL had something to announce, and sure enough they did. If you were hoping for a set of Bluetooth speakers or maybe a phone that packs JBL’s technology under the hood, you would be disappointed. However if you’re in the market for a pair of new headphones, you will be pleased to learn that the announcement is indeed for a pair of headphones.

Both companies have worked together to create the JBL E1+ earphones which are priced at $39 and are expected to go on sale in October via OnePlus’ website. Hopefully unlike the OnePlus One, we won’t have to wait for an invite to actually get our hands on it! These headphones also makes it OnePlus’ second attempt at audio accessories.

That being said, the JBL E1+ headphones will come with 9mm drivers and will have an impedance of around 32ohms. It will also have a maximum SPL of 105dB @ 5mW, a frequency range of 10Hz-22,000Hz, and will come with a 1.2m cable with a standard 3.5mm connector. The cable design is flat to help prevent tangling, and will also come with a three button remote that houses a microphone to allow for hands-free calls.

Now we can’t attest to the quality of these headphones, but they come in a rather striking red finish so if you’re all about the looks and design, then perhaps the JBL E1+ headphones might be the answer.
