Throughout this entire year we saw the market get flooded of all kinds of wearable devices, activity and fitness monitors remained most popular with OEMs. Jawbone, a Silicon Valley based startup, has already made its mark in this market with products the like UP band but unfortunately it is going to miss out on the holiday shopping season for its upcoming band. The UP3 release has been delayed into the coming year.

BloombergView reports that Jawbone will not be able to sell the UP3 to customers this holiday season but doesn’t offer a reason as to why this product’s release has been delayed. Jawbone hasn’t commented on the matter so there’s no official reason given by the company as of now.

What a spokesperson for the company did say that Jawbone would be missing its deadline also because its mass production process is under “fine tuning.” Customers who had already ordered the UP3 received $40 off, alternatively they could also opt for a $50 low-end Up Move.

So as it stands we have to wait until next year for this wearable device. When will it actually arrive? Early 2015 is the timeframe provided, meaning those who have been waiting to get their hands on one may have to sit tight either for a few weeks or for a couple of months.
