WhatsApp-Call-Screen-LargeIt is not a secret that WhatsApp is working on a voice calling feature of their own. After all there are many messaging apps that have started to incorporate the feature, so if WhatsApp doesn’t want to lose their dominant position, voice calling is definitely a feature that we can expect. However the question is when?

Earlier this month we reported that some Android users have started to see the feature go live for them and now according to reports from CrackBerry, it looks like the voice calling feature has gone live for some BlackBerry 10 users as well. However it should be noted that the feature seems to have gone live for those running the beta release from the BlackBerry Beta Zone.

So if you’re running the non-beta version of WhatsApp on your BlackBerry 10 handset, we guess you might not be able to use the feature yet. Some users are reporting that you can force the feature by having someone with the voice calling functionality to call you, thus activating the feature for you in the process.

However it seems that there are mixed results as some users are reporting that it works, and some claims that it doesn’t. In any case we can only imagine that the feature will be launched in the near future thanks to all the testing that is being conducted, so do check back with us later for the details.
