Microsoft first introduced us to Upload Studio, the built-in video editor on Xbox One, before the console was even launched. The video editor has only offered a handful of features up till now and today this is being rectified. Microsoft has rolled out a new update for Upload Studio which brings additional features that will go a long way in making it easier for gamers to put together gameplay videos on their console.
Upload Studio is now capable of putting together recordings that can run up to a full 30 minutes. It will also let users apply text overlays, use a variety of new effects and transitions particularly those that have been designed for games like Call of Duty, Forza Horizon and Halo.
Gamers will certainly appreciate having the ability to throw themselves in the video using the Kinect camera. This update allows them to do that through green screen effects which eliminates the need to use an actual green screen backdrop.
Microsoft’s Major Nelson explains that the system is capable enough to see the gamers’ body and pick it out of the background.
Microsoft has released the Upload Studio update already so those who have an Xbox One and want to try out these new features they can get their hands on the update right away.
