Those who have been waiting for Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham Knight to arrive were met with some bad news today. The developer confirmed that Batman Arkham Knight release is being delayed. Even though the release has only been pushed back by three weeks, it nevertheless results into more wait for gamers anxiously waiting for this title to arrive. There’s some good news as well. Rumor has it that Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City remastered editions could be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in late 2015.

For those who are unaware the aforementioned titles are the first two games in the Batman Arkham series. Batman Arkham Knight is the third and final iteration of this series.

IGN Italy reports, citing “reliable sources,” that around Christmas 2015 a collection of both titles remastered for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be released. They’ll arrive well after Batman Arkham Knight is released on June 23rd, 2015.

The report doesn’t say anything about Batman Arkham Origins. It’s unclear if this title will be remastered for the new consoles as well.

No confirmation has come in yet either from Rocksteady Studios or Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. They are maintaining radio silence over the possibility of remastered editions of Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City for PS4 and Xbox One.

The last title in this trilogy, Batman Arkham Knight, will be released on June 23rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC.
