Disappointed that you can’t take your selfie stick with you at this year’s hottest music festivals? Well, don’t expect to use the accessory at Apple’s annual developers conference too. Apple has made it clear that it will not be tolerating selfie sticks at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2015, which kicks off on June 8th and runs through June 12th.

If you skim through the WWDC 2015 Attendance Policy you will come across this gem: “In addition, you may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods within Moscone West or Yerba Buena Gardens.”

The policy also requests attendees that they don’t take any audio or audiovisual recordings of the proceedings at Worldwide Developers Conference 2015.

The policy goes so far to state that wearable recording devices are not welcome. Will Apple make an exception for the Apple Watch that does include a microphone? Regardless, it appears this line might have more to do with Google Glass than the Apple Watch.

There you have it then, if you’re among the lucky people who get to attend WWDC 2015, do forget to pack your selfie stick because you will not be allowed to use it on the premises if you want to.

WWDC tickets are sold online but if history has ever taught us anything it’s that tickets usually sell out within minutes of going online.
