A few days back Nest said that it would announce a new product in this week, June 17th to be precise, and ahead of its even today the new product has already appeared on Best Buy. It’s the Nest cam and it’s not like this was a big secret, the Nest Cam has already been leaked prior to its announcement so the arrival on Best Buy really doesn’t raise any eyebrows.

This is going to be Nest’s first new product ever since it was acquired by Google. Nest later acquired Dropcam, a company that developed home security products, and that’s probably the main reason why this new product is a security camera.

Nest Cam is in all likelihood going to be a smart camera for the purpose of home security, the image accompanying the listing on Best Buy shows a sleek design with a small size making it a good option to consider if you’re wiring up the house with security cameras.

The listing reveals that Nest Cam offers 1,920×1,080 resolution with Auto-On detection, a day and night mode, night vision and lets users remote zoom and adjust it, though remote adjustment will only be side to side.

Android and iOS support is confirmed, and so is the price, Best Buy’s listing shows that the Nest Cam will cost $199. Shipping is estimated to start from June 22nd which means that potential customers won’t have to wait for too long once the product is announced officially later today.
