Titanfall has proven to be a hit title on Xbox and PC, while we wait for its sequel to arrive on other consoles as well there’s a Titanfall offshoot headed to Asia which is going to be a free-to-play game. Electronic Arts has confirmed that a free-to-play version of Titanfall is currently being developed in collaboration with a major publisher based in Asia.

EA has teamed up with Nexon for this purpose, Nexon is a widely known publisher in Asia popular for its free-to-play games. Seems like EA has chosen the right partner to get into this project with and the two will surely be looking forward to expanding Titanfall’s reach into the continent.

No major details about this new version have been revealed as yet aside from the fact that it will be available for PC, it can’t be said with certainty right now if EA plans on ever bringing this version of Titanfall to markets across Europe and North America.

Nexon president and CEO Owen Mahoney said that his company looks forward to working with the teams at Respawn and EA to “deliver a new and engaging online game based on Titanfall,” leveraging Nexon’s free-to-play expertise to bring this experience to the Asian market.
