Nokia-eventIn a recently invite that Nokia Technologies has sent out, it looks like they are planning on announcing something on the 28th of July. Now before you get too excited and think that this is when Nokia’s smartphones will be announced, sorry to disappoint as Nokia-branded smartphones will most likely be launched in Q4 2016.

That being said, the company’s event is titled “Nowhere: Now Here” which has us a bit curious as to what they might announce. There are several products we could think of, one of which could be a successor to the Nokia N1 Android tablet. The tablet was originally launched last year so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that the Finnish company might have a new one in the works.

Other possibilities include an announcement for who might be buying the company’s HERE mapping technology, which last we heard had the German carmakers in the lead as far as the bidding war is concerned. We might also hear who Nokia could potentially partner with for their smartphones, which according to the rumors might be Meizu.

While a partnership could be announced, like we said, the actual products will only be launched next year. It is possible that we might hear new product announcements in the form of wearable technology, VR headsets, and etc., but either way do check back with us on the 28th of July for the details.
