oneplus2-cutoutEach time a particular device edges closer to its release date, you can be sure that there is a higher chance of more leaks hitting the news wires – whether these are true or not remain to be seen, of course. The OnePlus 2 has certainly generated more than its fair share of attention over the past few weeks, if not months, and here we are on the right with a front panel of the alleged handset being captured and showcased on a Weibo account of an anonymous tipster.

The cutout for the home button is oval in shape, and this has fueled plenty of speculation that it is most probably going to be the very same spot where the fingerprint sensor will be located. OnePlus has already teased us that the OnePlus 2 will come with a fingerprint scanner, and OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei did make a passing mention before that he has no love for fingerprint scanners that are mounted on the back.

It also does seem as though the OnePlus 2 will have a build of 148.6mm x 71.7mm, which would make it smaller than the OnePlus One. However, as with all leaks and rumors, we should always wait for something official to surface before making any concrete conclusions.
