blizzcon-2015-media1According to rumors from earlier this year, it was suggested that Blizzard could announce a new Diablo 3 expansion at BlizzCon 2015. Rumors of the expansion were further fueled when a job listing by Blizzard was spotted, revealing that the company was looking for an artist for an unannounced Diablo project.

Now thanks to the folks at Diabloii.net, they have received their invites to BlizzCon 2015 which is scheduled to take place later this year, and it seems that Diablo 3 did get a mention. However the mention of Diablo 3 feels more like an afterthought rather than it getting top billing, but it is possible that maybe Blizzard wants to keep things on the DL.

According to the invite it says that attendees can expect to hear the latest news about Diablo 3 at BlizzCon and that’s pretty much it. Like we said if a new expansion were to be announced, you’d think Blizzard would have made the teaser a bit more obvious, but then again it is possible that by keeping it low-key it will make the announcement more impactful.

The invite also mentions that Blizzard will be talking about all their games, such as Overwatch, the new World of Warcraft: Legion expansion, Heroes of the Storm, and Blizzard is also expected to discuss what could be in cards for StarCraft 2’s future. Either way here’s hoping we get more Diablo 3 content, so do check back with us in the coming months for the details.
