Disney CEO Bob Iger made an interesting announcement at the company’s D23 Expo: Disney is going to construct a massive Star Wars world at Disneyland parks in two different locations. Iger describes it as the largest single themed expansion in the company’s history with Disneyland in Anaheim, California and Disney World in Orlando, Florida housing Star Wars-themed world measuring up to 14 acres each.

There will be two main attractions in the Star Wars world in both parks, the first where visitors will go onboard the Millennium Falcon and fly a “secret mission,” and the other where a battle will put visitors between the New Order and the Resistance from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Visitors will get to hang out with characters from the classic trilogy as well as the new movies and fan favorites will also be present, if you expect to find a cantina you’ll certainly find one, Iger says.

This is obviously not the first time that Star Wars will be present at Disney parks, there have been things like the Star Tours right but nothing as significant as what Disney is going to build.

Iger didn’t exactly say when the Star Wars world will open up, only that the attraction is “coming soon” to the aforementioned Disney parks.
