lumia-830-stock1Last year Microsoft launched the Lumia 830 where it went on sale. The device wasn’t terribly impressive and came with mid-range specs, as expected of most Lumia devices these days, but it featured a pretty decent design and its price tag made the handset a value for money purchase, especially if you were shopping on a budget.

However thanks to the folks at WMPoweruser, they have managed to get their hands on a leaked document which apparently indicates that the handset has reached its end of life. According to an anonymous Microsoft employee, “Lumia 830 is no more, to fill in the empty spaces in the store, the Lumia 735 will do it”.

So what does this mean? Basically the Lumia 830 is not expected to be made anymore, meaning that if a store runs out of stock for the Lumia 830, do not expect them to restock it.  The upside is that this means we could be treated to the success of the Lumia 830, which we have heard some rumors about earlier this year.

Presumably dubbed the Lumia 840, the rumors are claiming that it will be a thinner version of the Lumia 830 and possibly with Windows 10 Mobile in tow. In any case this is just speculation for now since Microsoft has yet to confirm anything, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.
