As you might have heard, Nintendo is working on a tool called Super Mario Maker. Basically what this does is that it allows gamers to create custom levels for Mario, meaning that if you’re bored of completing the various Mario stages and games Nintendo has put out over the years, you can look forward to completing new levels made by other players.

In fact you can go ahead and create some yourself if you think you have an idea of what would be fun. However it also turns out that the tool will allow the custom recording of sound used in the levels. This means that while the sounds used by Mario in the various Mario games are pretty iconic and have been recreated using musical instruments in performances, you can now add your own sounds to the game.

We have to admit that it is pretty cool as it will allow greater customization of these levels. We expect given the creativity of the community, we can look forward to some funny and truly awesome experiences in the future. In the meantime the Super Mario Maker has been pegged for a release on the 11th of September.

If you want to know more about the feature, you can check out the seven minute video above which was recently uploaded by Nintendo, detailing the Super Mario Maker tool.
