Twitter Update Brings Landscape Mode To iPhone 6 Plus Owners

twitter landscapeWhile the iPhone has always offered landscape support, not all apps take advantage of it. In fact one of the more unique features of the iPhone 6 Plus is that when landscape mode is enabled, even the home screen can be tilted which in turn leverages the larger 5.5-inch display of the phone.

Now if you’re an avid Twitter user, you might be interested to learn that Twitter has recently enabled landscape support for its iOS app. This means is that if you’re using the iPhone 6 Plus and maybe you’d like to see more content in your feed, or maybe manage your conversations better, now you can.

It should be noted that this feature is being rolled out on a staggered basis, so there is a chance that you might not get it on your phone just yet, but it should be enabled pretty soon so just remain patient and your turn will come. As you can see in the screenshot above, the landscape mode offers a wider view when reading your text messages.

It can also manage who you are sending your messages to, kind of like what you would expect on an iPad app. This is one of the changes that Twitter is bringing to its mobile apps. Just yesterday the social network revealed they were testing a dedicated News tab where tweets classified as news would be displayed.
