xperiaz5compactleakSony is hosting an event at IFA 2015 next month and we can only assume they will have new products to announce. That being said, a new leaked photo has made its way online, as you can see in the image above which is allegedly belonging to that of the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. While we can’t be 100% sure, it does seem to be in line with earlier leaked photos.

While the rear portion looks rather plain, what’s obvious that this could be the Xperia Z5 Compact are the buttons that appear to have been shifted down, which like we said seems to be in line with the earlier leaked photos, unless someone decided to fake this press image. Unfortunately apart from the photo, not much else is known about the device in terms of specs.

From what we can tell from the previous leaks, the handset is expected to incorporate a fingerprint sensor on its side, a unique position as most sensors have been placed on the home button or on the rear.

It also seems to suggest that there won’t be any incorporation of USB-C, so it looks like micro USB will still be the way to go for the Xperia Z5 series. Other than that, display size, resolution, or processor remains unknown, but do check back with us at IFA 2015 in September where Sony will hopefully have more details for us.
