alcatel-onetouch-pixi-3The other we reported that according to leaked specs provided by @evleaks, it was revealed that Alcatel had a Windows 10 Mobile handset in the works. Now whether or not those leaked specs are the real deal remains to be seen, but now we can at least confirm that Alcatel does have plans for Windows 10 Mobile.

This was confirmed by the Alcatel OneTouch’s SVP for North America Steve Cistulli during the CTIA wireless trade show. Cistulli was quoted as saying, “We are very supportive of the Windows ecosystem,” as he confirmed the company’s plans. Unsurprisingly he did not reveal any specs of gave any clue as to what kind of device they were working on.

However from what we can tell from the leaked specs, the device is said to be called the Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL. It will feature a 5.5-inch HD display and under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor can be found. It will come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, along with a 2,500mAh battery.

There will also be an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and it is expected to be launched in December. Given that we heard that Windows 10 Mobile would be released in November, we suppose this makes for perfect timing.
