google-sign-new

We have been hearing for a couple of months now that Google is working on two new Nexus handsets with LG and Huawei which will be officially unveiled in the near future. It was expected that the company will conduct an event later this month to show off the new handsets and that’s precisely what it’s doing. Google has now confirmed that it will indeed be hosting an event on September 29th to show off “some tasty new treats,” it doesn’t outright say that new Nexus smartphones are on the agenda, but they most likely are.

The invite-only event will take place at the Left Space Studios in the Mission District of San Francisco. Doors open at 8 am on September 29th, 2015. The event starts at 9 am PT, don’t be sad if you didn’t get an invite, because Google is going to live stream it at www.youtube.com/google.

The LG and Huawei made Nexus smartphones may not be the only items on the agenda. At the event Google might also show off the final version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow and provide a confirmed release date for the new software.

A recent report also suggests that Google may unveil the second-generation Chromecast at this event as well. The company itself has confirmed nothing about the agenda but given that the event is a little over a week away we’ll find out for sure soon enough.
