There are many ways of making coffee, but these days companies such as Nestle and Keurig have created machines like Nespresso and the Hot Brewer where using capsules/pods, users at home can make themselves high quality coffee at the press of a button with minimal mess and fuss.

However it looks like Keurig is looking beyond just coffee as they have recently introduced the ability to make hot and fresh soup at a touch of a button as well. This is thanks to a partnership with the Campbell Soup Company in which there will be pods sold that will be able to make soup for users.

All users have to do is empty the contents of the packet into a bowl/cup, place the pod into a Keurig Hot Brewer machine, press a button and they’re good to go. At the moment there are two flavors offered which includes Homestyle Chicken Broth & Noodle Soup Mix and Southwest Style Chicken Broth & Noodle Soup Mix.

It’s an interesting idea and direction that the company is taking. We have to wonder what else could be made in the future. Perhaps instant noodle pods? Porridge? The possibilities are endless! The Campbell soup pods will be sold for $12 for a pack of eight. It might be more expensive than buying a can of soup, but we suppose you’re really paying for the convenience.
