At its event earlier this week Apple unveiled the much awaited new Apple TV, the company’s new set-top box brings major improvements over its predecessor such as powerful internal hardware, an App Store as well as a new Siri-enabled remote control. The set-top box won’t be released until late next month but already there’s a new Apple TV unboxing video online giving us a good look at the retail packaging of this device.

As previously mentioned the new Apple TV isn’t going to be released before late-October but YouTuber Andru Edwards appears to have got his hands on a unit ahead of time, so naturally he made an unboxing video and put it up on YouTube.

The new Apple TV comes in a redesigned box that doesn’t really house a lot of things, there’s the set-top box, a lightning cable, a power cord and the Siri-enabled touch remote as well as documentation. That’s just about it.

We do get a good look at the new remote control in the video, and learn that it’s actually made out of metal, this is actually the first time that an Apple TV remote has had a touch surface and Siri support for that matter.

The new Apple TV comes in two models, 32GB and 64GB, which cost $149 and $199 respectively.
