apple_logoApple will be hosting an event later today. The event is expected to play host to the new iPhone announcements, the Apple TV, and the iPad. Assuming the iPad part is true, this means that Apple might be skipping the traditional iPad event in October, so the question is, what kind of announcements might we expect in October?

It turns out that there might not be an October event after all. According to a post by famed Apple insider John Gruber, he claims that the general consensus is that there might not be an October event. “Lot of little birdies out tonight in San Francisco. The consensus is that there’s only going to be one Apple event this fall, and it’s tomorrow. So if there’s an iPad Pro, it’s coming tomorrow, no matter how much or how little sense that makes.”

It should be noted that Gruber has accurately shut down a variety of Apple rumors in the past, as well as confirming them, so safe to say that if he thinks that there is no October event, that could very well be the truth. However the question is why would Apple choose to cram all their events today?

It is possible that with the iPad’s sales on the decline, perhaps dedicating an entire event to the tablet might not be such a good idea anymore. It is also possible that unless there are major changes Apple is making to their Mac or MacBooks, they will probably announce those via a simple press release. Either way we will find out in the next few hours, so check back with us then for the details.
