zelda-hyrule-3dsI know that there are privileges associated with having the latest and greatest piece of hardware – for instance, you do not need to worry about incompatibility issues too much, and you know that whatever software that rolls out with it will work sans performance issues, no questions asked. The same applies to the 3D effects that can be found in the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors Legends, where those unique 3D effects will only work if the game is played on the new Nintendo 3DS.

According to the game’s producer, Hayashi Yosuke, the title’s stereoscopic 3D had to be limited on the older 3DS hardware so that the gamer will not end up with too much lag on the display, especially when the body count on such a small screen grows. Thanks to the new Nintendo 3DS which comes with additional processing muscle compared to its previous generation model, not to mention having another control stick and built-in near field communication (NFC), it seems that Hyrule Warriors Legends is going to be an epic outing on this little portable console that could.

Apart from that, if you would like to start from scratch, there is a special Zelda-themed New 3DS package that will arrive alongside The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes this coming October 23rd which will comprise of a gold XL system and a copy of the game.
