Momentary-Ink-Arm-Flower-closeupTattoos are forever. You could laser them off but the process is more painful and more expensive than getting the actual tattoo, which is why it is highly recommended that you know what you want before you get it. Now if you’ve settled on a design but you’re not sure if it might be good fit for that area of your body, you’re in luck.

Thanks to a website called Momentary Ink, you can now submit the design that you want to get tattooed and they will then print a temporary tattoo for you in which you can then apply it to your body and see how it suits you. These temporary tattoos are nontoxic and waterproof and are said to last for 3-10 days, although applying it to places on the body with less movement is said to allow it to last longer.

Some customers have claimed it lasted for as long as three weeks. Speaking to Mashable, the website’s founder Jordan Denny says, “People are getting rid of these cookie-cutter tattoos and really getting into more meaningful, complex, often custom design. It really calls for a thoughtful decision, and requires a lot more of a flexible tattoo process. We want to make it easier to visualize something much more powerful and meaningful to people before they get it done.”

While temporary tattoos do exist, what makes Momentary Ink’s designs different is that they’re customized, and they also look like actual tattoos as opposed to regular temporary tattoos which are shiny and wet. That being said, test driving the design is just one aspect of getting a good tattoo.

There are other aspects to consider, like the artist that you are getting it done by and their skill, as tattooing a design is very different from just pasting it on. However if you just want reassurance that the Japanese-inspired koi half sleeve looks good on you, then Momentary Ink could be worth checking out.
