Temple Run 2 has been out for a few years now and we know it does seem to be pretty long in the tooth. However given that the original Temple Run was a huge hit and helped kick off the endless runner genre on mobile phones, we suppose in some ways you could consider the franchise to be something of a classic.
That being said if you’re looking for a reason to fire up the game, you’re in luck. The folks at Imangi have recently pushed out an update to the game. The update will feature a new episode called Frozen Shadows and as you can see in the video above, will feature a completely new scenario that players can take part in.
This new frozen area will feature enemies in the form of Snowy Demon Monkeys, new outfits for your characters (so that they can stay warm), an ice luge, frozen forests, and more. The good news is that this new episode will be free and is part of an update to the app. The game itself is also free in case you haven’t downloaded it before.
