Apple is expected to hold an event in March to unveil a new version of the Apple Watch, the smaller iPhone that has been rumored for so long, and the iPad Air 3. There have already been many rumors and reports about the features the new tablet could bring. A purported iPad Air 3 case from China has emerged online and it suggests that the Smart Connector might come with the updated tablet.
Apple introduced the Smart Connector with the iPad Pro last year. It’s also believed that some of the features found on the larger tablet like the four-speaker array might also arrive on the iPad Air 3.
The case that has appeared online suggests that the iPad Air 3 design is likely going to be similar to that of the iPad Pro. It has space for the Smart Connector which could mean that the upcoming tablet might have support for accessories like the connected keyboard.
One can also see that the hole cut out for the camera extends downward a bit which is in line with rumors that iPad Air 3 is going to feature a rear camera flash as well though it merits mentioning here that iPad Pro doesn’t have a rear camera flash.
Apple has not yet confirmed if it’s going to hold an event in March to unveil new products but the rumor mill is convinced for now that an event is most certainly planned and that the new iPad Air will be shown off there.
